Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join our Auckland team. This junior, entry-level role does not require warehouse experience; attitude, reliability and a readiness to learn matter most.

You’ll be on the warehouse floor handling inbound, dispatch and stock tasks. Reporting to the warehouse lead, you’ll help keep goods moving, perform data entry, and provide basic admin support.

Qualifications

• Confident with warehouse/inventory systems (e.g. WMS) and basic office software.
• Accurate data entry and attention to stock/order records.
• Physically able to work in a warehouse environment.
• Strong work ethic: reliable and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, offload and stage inbound goods and complete other inbound duties.
• Pick, pack and ship customer orders accurately and on time.
• Carry out regular cycle counts to keep stock levels accurate.
• Operate a reach truck safely around the warehouse.
• Update stock and order information in the system (data entry).
• Respond to routine customer and email queries.
• General day-to-day warehouse and administrative duties as required.

Warehouse Assistant (Junior / Entry Level)

A well-established NZ/AUS service company has an opportunity for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join our Auckland team. This is a junior, entry-level position - warehouse experience is not essential, and we are more interested in attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn. It is a busy, varied role suited to someone who enjoys being on the warehouse floor, takes pride in getting the basics right, and is happy to pitch in across inbound, dispatch and day-to-day stock tasks.

About the role

Reporting to the warehouse lead, you will keep goods moving accurately and on time - receiving and dispatching stock, keeping inventory accurate, and handling the routine paperwork that goes with it. You will work alongside experienced team members who will show you how we do things. The role is primarily warehouse-based, with some basic administration and customer contact.

Key responsibilities

• Receipt, offload and stage incoming goods, and complete other inbound duties

What you'll bring

• A willingness to learn - this is a junior role, and no previous warehouse experience is required
• Confident computer skills - these matters to us. You should be comfortable with warehouse/inventory systems (e.g. WMS), email, Microsoft Word and Excel, and quick to pick up other/new warehouse/inventory systems.
• Accurate data entry and attention to detail when updating stock and order records
• A strong work ethic - self-motivated, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good organisation, planning and time-management skills
• Sound communication skills, both verbal and written
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of a warehouse environment
• Reach truck / forklift experience is an advantage but not essential - training can be provided

What we offer

• An hourly rate of $25-$26
• Full-time hours in a busy, well-established Auckland warehouse
