Job summary

ABB Napier is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Operator to manage warehousing activities from receiving through to dispatch. You will be responsible for picking components for the manufacturing division with accuracy, updating SAP-based systems, and ensuring safe handling of stock from parts to final products.

The role requires a proactive team player with strong numeracy, good communication, and the ability to work at pace in a physical environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Understanding of inwards and outwards goods and logistics is beneficial.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System like SAP would be an advantage.
• A positive desire to learn and navigate computer systems confidently.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a solution-focused approach.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good with numbers.
• A current Forklift Licence is desirable; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of personal safety and others; follow procedures and report hazards.
• Pick components from stock for manufacturing with precision and efficiency.
• Update Warehouse Management and Inventory Systems with attention to detail.
• Safely handling stock from parts to final products.
• Plan daily operations around deliveries; coordinate resources and equipment.
• Sort and arrange material for storage to maximise space and accessibility.
• Prepare products for transport with care and accuracy.
