Job summary

ABB Napier is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join the team, overseeing goods from receiving through dispatch. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficient stock management within a fast-paced environment.

You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to plan daily operations, manage inventory updates, and prepare products for transport, with occasional outdoor duties. Forklift training provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or similar environment with understanding of warehouse operations.
• Understanding of inwards and outwards goods and logistics.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (SAP) advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and navigate computer systems confidently.
• Team player with positive attitude and solution-focused approach.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good with numbers.
• Forklift Licence desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for safety and report hazards promptly.
• Pick components from stock for manufacturing with precision.
• Update Warehouse Management and Inventory Systems with attention to detail.
• Safely handle stock from parts and semi-finished goods to final products.
• Plan daily operations around deliveries, coordinating resources and equipment availability.
• Sort and arrange material for storage according to procedures, maximising space.
• Prepare products for transport with care and accuracy.
