Job summary

Original Foods, a NZ bakery producer, invites a stores team member to join our production facility in Wigram. The role focuses on receiving, packing, and dispatching goods within a fast-paced environment. You will maintain tidy stores, assist with stock takes, and support production with flexible teamwork.

We offer a 6-day, 24/6 operation with day shifts from 8am to 4:30pm, and opportunities for skill development. Applicants must have NZ work rights and good numeracy/literacy. Apply via our site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pick pack environment.
• OSH certified is preferred.
• Great attitude to Food Safety and Health and Safety and willingness to follow all related instructions, procedures and policies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work with initiative.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, comfortable using email and excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Be hard working, reliable, with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide input on initiatives to ensure smooth and effective operation of stores area.
• Coordinate with transport to ensure all receiving shipments are moving in and out of stores as scheduled.
• Safely operate forklifts and reach trucks, load and unload trucks.
• Be skilled in keeping our ingredients and packaging stores area tidy.
• Assemble and pack outgoing orders, ensuring quality and timely dispatch when required.
• Assist with stock-takes and stock rotation and to generate reports on inventory balance and shortages.
• Be flexible and have ability to work with the production team to meet critical requirements.
• Actively comply with health and safety policies and procedures
