Job summary

Palmerston North Goodwin Group is seeking two Warehouse Assistants to join our busy Palmerston North branch. You will be involved in picking, packing, despatching orders and handling inventory in a chillers/frozen environment, with additional duties as required in the warehouse.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, able to work shifts including evenings and weekends, and able to use technology. Driving license (Class 1) is preferred; references and a clean record are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to lift heavy weights.
• Able to use technology and adapt to systems.
• Free from drug and criminal history.
• Able to provide sound references.
• Health & Safety conscious.
• Able to work rostered shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Class one New Zealand or overseas equivalent license.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing, and despatching orders.
• Working in the chillers and frozen food environment.
• Filling and labelling containers.
• Organising inventory to assigned locations.
• Conducting and accurately completing inventory stock checks.
• General other warehousing duties and work where and when as required in the warehouse.
• Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Unloading vehicles, opening packages and removing contents.
• Operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock.
• Operating equipment to lift, place and remove goods on high levels.
