Job summary

Palmerston North Goodwin Group is seeking two Warehouse Assistants to join our busy operation. You will pick, pack, despatch orders and handle inventory in a chilled environment, ensuring accurate stock control and efficient workflow.

The role requires physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work rostered shifts including evenings and weekends. Prior warehousing experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy weights.
• Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies or systems.
• Free from drug use and criminal history.
• Provide sound references when requested.
• Health & Safety conscious and follows protocols.
• Willing to work rostered shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Previous relevant warehousing experience is preferred but not required.
• Class one New Zealand or overseas equivalent license.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and despatch orders.
• Work in chillers and frozen food environment.
• Fill and label containers.
• Organise inventory to assigned locations.
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconciliations.
• Perform other warehousing duties as needed in the warehouse.
• Receive incoming goods, check for damage and discrepancies.
• Unload goods and prepare for stock, open packages.
• Use computer systems to locate items and quantities.
• Operate equipment to move goods to high levels.
