Job summary

Palmerston North Goodwin Group is seeking two Warehouse Assistants for its busy Palmerston North branch. You will handle picking, packing, and despatch, and organize inventory in a fast-paced setting.

Duties include working in chillers and frozen areas, receiving goods, checking invoices, unloading, and using computer systems to locate stock. Rotating shifts include evenings and weekends; no prior warehousing is essential but helpful, NZ Class 1 license required.

Qualifications

• Able to lift heavy weights in a warehouse setting.
• Willing to learn and adapt; comfortable with technology.
• Drug and criminal history clear.
• Provide sound references.
• Health & Safety conscious.
• Able to work rostered shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Previous warehousing experience preferred but not required.
• Class 1 NZ or overseas license.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and despatch orders.
• Work in chillers and frozen food environment.
• Fill and label containers.
• Organise inventory to assigned locations.
• Conduct regular stock checks.
• Perform general warehousing duties as required.
• Receive incoming goods and check discrepancies with invoices.
• Unload vehicles and move goods from packages.
• Use computer to locate items and quantities.
• Operate equipment to lift and place goods at height.
