Job summary

Four experienced waitstaff are sought for a busy Asian restaurant in central Christchurch. This permanent, full-time role requires availability nights, weekends and the busiest summer period, with 30+ hours per week. Candidates should demonstrate personality, awareness of guest needs, and solid service history.

Applicants with NZ liquor law knowledge and a willingness to learn the restaurant's offerings will be preferred, and sponsorship may be available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience in a similar role or a Level 2/3 Hospitality Diploma.
• Good knowledge of NZ liquor laws.
• Availability for nights, weekends and the busy summer peak season.

Responsibilities

• Meet guests with a positive welcome and introduce the menu
• Take and deliver orders, entering them through the POS
• Process electronic and cash payments
• Clear and reset tables and maintain a clean restaurant
• Uphold NZ liquor laws and licensing requirements with guests and management
• Attend regular in-house beverage, food and service sessions, finish the modules and promote products in line with policy

An established modern Asian restaurant in the heart of Christchurch needs four experienced waitstaff to deliver standout service and sell food and drinks the way its service system sets out. The position is permanent and full-time at 30 hours a week or more. Candidates must be free to work nights, weekends and the high summer period, when the dining room is at its busiest.
