Job description

A long-running rooftop venue in central Christchurch wants a seasoned Duty Manager to help build a compact, hard-working team. Now in its sixth year, the business opens from Tuesday to Sunday, offers table service throughout and builds its menu around dishes to share and produce in season.

The employer needs someone with solid bar leadership, confidence with high-volume cocktails and the licensing paperwork to run shifts. The position is permanent and full-time, built on a contract of at least 30 hours, with closing shifts on rotation. Evenings and weekends are part of the job, and Friday and Saturday nights are not negotiable. Mondays are set aside for functions, staff training, venue presentation and cocktail competitions.

Sponsorship is available for the right candidate, and the venue is ready for an immediate start. Committed hospitality people receive ongoing, thorough training and room to progress.

Employers here will look first at your licensing and venue history, so list your LCQ, Duty Managers Certificate and the busiest bars you have run on your CV. You can present your licensing and bar leadership record with Build AI CV.
