Job summary

Higgins, part of Fletcher Building, seeks an experienced regional leader for the Waikato area to drive sustainable profitability across roading, civil construction, and infrastructure delivery. You will oversee safety, people, operations and customer relationships while translating strategy into action.

You will bring 10+ years in roading or infrastructure, proven P&L accountability, and a track record of leading teams through change. A tertiary qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in roading, civil construction, or infrastructure.
• Proven ability to set direction and drive results through others.
• Strong track record in client relationships, winning work and growth.
• Desirable: tertiary qualification in civil engineering, business, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver regional P&L performance, including revenue growth, margin, cost control, and cash outcomes.
• Translate strategy into clear regional plans and targets.
• Provide visible, values-led leadership across a multi-disciplinary operation.
• Lead a strong safety, quality, and risk management culture.
• Drive performance across maintenance, construction, and surfacing while identifying growth opportunities.
• Maintain and strengthen client, iwi, partner, and stakeholder relationships.
• Build leadership capability, succession planning, and workforce engagement.
• Optimise utilisation of plant, asphalt, and operational resources.
