Higgins is a leading construction and infrastructure company in New Zealand, seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Waikato region to lead road stabilisation projects, manage multiple crews, and deliver quality outcomes across sites and nationwide. You will drive client relationships, mentoring, and commercial performance while upholding strong health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering road stabilisation projects within civil construction.
  • Experience managing multiple stabilising crews or operations.
  • Strong commercial capability, including pricing projects valued at $10M+.
  • Proactive health and safety mindset.
  • Leadership experience with mentoring and developing teams.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of stabilising projects across all stages, from planning through to completion.
  • Manage multiple operations while ensuring consistent, high-quality results.
  • Oversee programme, cost, quality, and risk across your portfolio.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to Project Managers and site teams.
  • Manage contracts, pricing, and commercial performance, including leading negotiations where required.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Champion a strong health and safety culture, with a focus on prevention.
