Job summary

Auckland War Memorial Museum in Auckland is seeking a permanent, full-time role reporting to our Head of Safety and Visitor Services to lead Visitor Hosts and the Bookings Team, ensuring exceptional frontline service across our operations.

You will implement effective systems, develop people, and drive a world-class visitor experience in line with the Museum’s values, guidelines and policies. This role requires Tuesday to Saturday shifts with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer experience best practice.
• Leadership experience in the customer experience, HR, Events or GLAM sector, preferably with Museum experience.
• Proven track record of managing and developing high-achieving, front-facing teams.
• Desire to lead others in delivering exemplary visitor interactions and model best practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Visitor Hosts and the Bookings Team to deliver outstanding frontline service.
• Collaborate to implement effective systems and people management.
• Ensure world-class visitor experience aligned with museum values and policies.
