Job summary

Westpac New Zealand is seeking a Manager, Virtual Wealth Advice to lead a dispersed team delivering personalised financial guidance via phone and video. You will establish a scalable, high-quality service model and drive customer-centric outcomes in a growing virtual channel.

You will shape access to advice for a broad New Zealand audience, oversee the cadet programme and collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed digital capabilities and strong governance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in financial advice or wealth management.
• Experience as an investment Financial Adviser with a relevant qualification.
• Strong understanding of KiwiSaver, investments and regulatory requirements for financial advice.
• Experience with digital or virtual service-delivery models.
• Strong leadership, coaching and relationship-management capabilities.
• Ability to set clear performance expectations for a high-volume team.
• Confidence in leading change and new ways of working.
• Strong written and verbal communication, digital proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Virtual Wealth Advisers, Consultants and Cadets.
• Build a high-performing, digitally capable team with clear expectations and rhythms.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality financial advice via telephone and video channels.
• Embed a customer-centred approach aligned with customers’ goals.
• Maintain standards across interactions, advice quality and virtual experience.
• Manage performance across volumes, service levels and turnaround times.
• Optimise workflows across telephone, video and digital channels.
• Oversee end-to-end support services and post-advice activity.
• Lead Wealth Office cadet programme onboarding and development pathways.
• Forge partnerships with Wealth Office leadership, Product, Risk and Operations.
