As our client base and technology projects continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to join our Auckland team and take responsibility for the planning and successful delivery of ICT projects.

About the Role

The ICT Project Manager will be responsible for managing ICT projects from initial requirements and project planning through development, implementation, testing and final delivery.

Working closely with clients, software developers, systems analysts, technical specialists and external service providers, you will ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.

You will also play an important role in translating business objectives into structured project plans, coordinating technical resources and managing risks, dependencies and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise and manage ICT projects throughout the full project lifecycle, including project initiation, requirements analysis, planning, development, testing, implementation, deployment and post-implementation review.
  • Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify technology needs and define project scope, objectives, deliverables and implementation priorities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets and resource requirements, ensuring project activities are appropriately prioritised and coordinated.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including software developers, systems analysts, technical specialists, vendors and other stakeholders, and allocate project tasks and resources according to project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, expenditure, resources and deliverables against agreed plans, identify deviations or potential delays, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks, technical dependencies, implementation issues and resource constraints, maintaining appropriate risk and issue registers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate requirements workshops, project meetings, technical discussions and progress reviews, ensuring effective communication between clients, management and technical delivery teams.
  • Manage changes to project scope, requirements, schedules and priorities, assess their impact on project delivery and coordinate appropriate change-control processes.
  • Coordinate software development, system configuration, integration, testing, user acceptance testing and deployment activities to ensure solutions meet agreed functional and technical requirements.
  • Manage relationships with clients, technology vendors, contractors and external service providers, ensuring project expectations, responsibilities and deliverables are clearly communicated and effectively managed.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, risk and issue registers, change records, meeting records, technical documentation and project status reports.
  • Conduct project handovers and post-implementation reviews, evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities to improve Fliptech's ICT project management processes and delivery standards.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, computer science, engineering, project management, business, design or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience , including experience managing technology, software, digital or other complex technical projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects through multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary technical and business teams.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, resource coordination, risk management and change management.
  • Experience working with software development, digital platforms, systems integration or technology implementation projects.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and communicate them effectively to technical teams.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, technical specialists, management and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within agreed deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with software development lifecycles, Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies, cloud solutions, API/system integration, digital platforms or enterprise technology projects would be advantageous.
