Job summary

Brackenfield in the Awatere Valley of Seddon, Marlborough, seeks a reliable person or couple to join our small vineyard team. The role includes training and caring for new plants, such as guards and bamboo canes, and tasks like singling, taping and other vineyard duties.

Work is 40 hours per week, with the option to increase hours. We offer a supportive, family‑owned environment and on‑site shared accommodation (3‑bed house, a short drive to Seddon and 20 minutes to Blenheim).

Qualifications

• Experience working outdoors in vineyard settings preferred.
• Able to perform repetitive bending and physical tasks.
• Reliable, hardworking and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Train and care for new plants (guards and bamboo canes).
• Perform singling, taping and related vineyard tasks.
• Support vineyard operations as part of a small team.

We are seeking a person or couple who are reliable and motivated people to join our small team as we replant a part of our vineyard.

The role will involve training and caring for new plants such as guards and bamboo canes on plants, singling, taping and various other jobs within the vineyard.

We are looking for someone:

• who enjoys working in the outdoors, physically fit as the job does consist of repetitive bending
• reliable, hardworking and positive
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of the team as required.
