Job summary

Summerset Milldale is seeking a passionate Chef to join our village cafe team on a part-time basis. You’ll prepare resident meals, deliver the cafe menu and cabinet items, and cater to various diets in a modern kitchen environment.

As a Chef, you’ll lead day-to-day food preparation, ensure compliance with the Food Control Plan, and share culinary ideas for themed dining events across the village. This role offers meaningful work in a vibrant community.

Qualifications

• You will be an experienced and passionate Chef who loves people-centric cooking.
• Experience cooking set meals and café orders in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of Food Safety Plans and team coaching is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook set meals for residents and café orders.
• Deliver the cafe menu and cabinet items to entice guests.
• Ensure compliance with the approved Food Control Plan.
• Provide guidance to the kitchen team on food preparation techniques.
• Contribute culinary flair for village dining and themed events.
