Job summary

Summerset at Monterey Park Village is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our kitchen team, where every meal brings joy and nourishment to residents.

You will prepare resident production meals, deliver the café menu and cabinet offerings, and cater to diverse diets. A professional cookery qualification and a team-focused approach are essential.

This full-time role runs Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00am–2:30pm, with benefits including health insurance and opportunities to grow your culinary qualifications.

Qualifications

• Professional cookery qualification.
• Experience working as a Cook or a Chef.
• Sound understanding of Food Safety Plans.
• Team player who loves passing on culinary knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking set meals that are delivered to residents that can’t come to the café.
• Cooking short orders for cafe customers.
• Assisting with creating a beautiful café specials menu.
• Complying with the approved Food Control Plan.
• Providing support and guidance to the kitchen team regarding food preparation techniques.
