Job description

Legend Story Studios | Auckland, New Zealand

Bring the world of Flesh and Blood to life, from our Auckland studio to the global stage.

Legend Story Studios is an independent game design and publishing studio and the creator of the globally acclaimed Flesh and Blood trading card game. Our mission is to bring people together in the flesh and blood through the common language of playing great games.

Through regular product releases and the Flesh and Blood World Tour, we’re creating the most exciting competitive trading card game in the world. We’re looking for an experienced Video Producer & Editor to join our Marketing team and help tell that story.

About the role

This is a hands-on creative role taking video content from concept and filming through to the final edit. You’ll capture gameplay, podcasts, interviews and keynotes, and produce long-form and short-form content for YouTube, social media, product launches and live events.

You’ll bring your own creative thinking to each project, using motion graphics, animation, sound and visual effects to create content with energy, personality and purpose.

Working closely with our Marketing, Creative, Game Design and Organised Play teams, you’ll help connect players with the people, stories and experiences behind Flesh and Blood. There will also be opportunities to travel internationally to capture content at major events.

What you’ll do

Film in the studio and on location: Produce gameplay videos, podcasts, interviews, tutorials, keynotes and promotional content.

Create for different audiences and channels: Edit engaging long-form and short-form videos for YouTube, Reels, Shorts and other digital platforms.

Bring content to life: Use motion graphics, animation, music, sound design and visual effects to elevate each piece.

Capture the global community: Film at Flesh and Blood World Tour events, conventions and other major activations around the world.

Shape the story: Contribute ideas and guide projects from initial concept through to final delivery.

Get the best from each shoot: Work with presenters, creators and internal teams to help people feel comfortable and deliver strong content.

Support live production: Assist with livestreams and event productions where needed.

Keep production moving: Organise footage, assets and project files while managing multiple deadlines.

Keep developing your craft: Explore creative approaches, formats and tools that can make our content even better.

What you must bring

You’ll need to be equally comfortable behind a camera and in the edit suite, with:

At least four years of relevant experience in video production, editing or a related creative role.

A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating your filming, editing and motion-design skills.

Strong proficiency in professional editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.

Experience with After Effects or similar tools for motion graphics, animation and visual effects.

Confidence using professional camera, lighting and audio equipment.

Strong visual storytelling skills, with a good eye for composition and an ear for pacing, music and sound.

The ability to manage multiple projects, work independently and collaborate across teams.

A basic working knowledge of Photoshop and Figma to adapt and animate existing assets.

A willingness to travel internationally for major events.

What will help you stand out

Experience with parallax animation would be a big bonus, as would work in gaming, entertainment, sport, events or other fast-moving content environments.

We’re looking for someone who is creative, curious and excited about making great content. A love of tabletop games, trading card games or Flesh and Blood is a plus.
