Job summary

Legends Global at Te Pae Christchurch is seeking an Experienced Safety and Security Officer to join the frontline team, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and contractors while delivering top-tier customer service. The role requires a Certificate of Approval (COA) and at least one year in security (hospitality/event security a bonus).

Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor are essential; First Aid certification is desirable.

Qualifications

• A current Certificate of Approval (COA) is essential.
• At least one year experience in a security role (hospitality/event security beneficial).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Physically fit and able to stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Be the friendly face of safety and security at Te Pae Christchurch
• Monitor and respond to security incidents with professionalism and care
• Support emergency response and evacuation procedures
• Manage contractor and loading dock access with precision
• Champion health and safety compliance across the venue
• Help create a secure, welcoming space for all visitors
