Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician for a well-established main dealership in Canterbury. You will perform servicing, routine maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The role requires Level 3 qualifications in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), previous workshop experience, and a valid UK driving licence. Flexible hours and a competitive package with bonus apply.

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent – essential.
• Previous Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic experience.
• Strong servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills.
• Confident using workshop equipment and vehicle systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence – essential.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance.
• Complete minor and major mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults.
• Road-test vehicles following repairs.
• Use workshop equipment and diagnostic systems safely.
• Liaise with customers and the Aftersales team when required.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic to join a well-established main dealership in Canterbury. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have previous workshop experience, a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.

Salary: £36,000 basic + bonus

Hours: Monday–Friday, flexible working hours available
