Job summary

MSD Australia & New Zealand is hiring a Production Technician in Wellington - Upper Hutt, New Zealand. The role involves day-to-day operations across manufacturing areas to ensure antigen and/or vaccine production meets required standards and customer demand in global markets.

Reports to the Production Manager within Global Animal Health Manufacturing. Responsibilities include operating equipment per SOPs, documenting activities per GDP, maintaining housekeeping, planning daily workload, and

Qualifications

Science degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of GMP.
Computer skills: Spreadsheet, Word, SAP.

Responsibilities

Manufacture antigen and/or vaccine to required standards, according to production schedules.
Operate equipment in accordance with SOPs.
Document all tasks in batch records, worksheets or logs per GDP.
Maintain good housekeeping and plan daily workload.
Communicate with Manufacturing Team and other departments for smooth workflow.
Provide on-the-job training for other technicians.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Investigate deviations and determine root causes.
Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions within timeframes.
Maintain documentation per quality standards and update SOPs.
