Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Wellington offers a permanent role as Production Technician supporting antigen and vaccine manufacturing within the Global Animal Health Manufacturing organisation.

The role involves performing day-to-day operations, documenting in GDP-compliant records, and maintaining clean, organized work areas. You will operate with SOPs, participate in continuous improvement, and support training for colleagues while ensuring compliance with GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Science degree or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of GMP.
• Computer Skills: Spreadsheet, Word, SAP.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture antigen and/or vaccine to required standards, according to production schedules.
• Operate equipment in accordance with SOPs and document tasks in batch records.
• Maintain housekeeping and plan daily workload.
• Communicate with Manufacturing Team to ensure smooth flow of product and documentation.
• Provide on-the-job training for other technicians and contribute to improvements.
• Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions as required.
