Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation in Otago, NZ seeks an Underground Supervisor/Shift Boss at Macraes Mine. The role focuses on safe, efficient mining practices and the use of underground equipment.

Drive-in drive-out from Dunedin or Oamaru with a 6:15am/pm to 7:00pm/am roster, 7 days on/off, based at Macraes. You will oversee underground development and production, coordinate with engineers, and lead mining personnel to uphold our values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years underground metalliferous mining experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of underground mining practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient mining practices in line with published schedules.
• Ensure development headings and production activities are mined to plan.
• Coordinate resources with Production Engineer to meet mining schedules.
• Lead and develop mining personnel to align with company values.
• Investigate incidents and ensure correct processes are followed.
