Job summary

OceanaGold in Otago, NZ, is seeking an Underground Supervisor/Shift Boss to oversee safe and efficient mining operations at Macraes. This residential role offers a 6:15am–7:00pm schedule and the chance to lead a skilled underground team.

The ideal candidate holds a B grade Tunnel Manager's Certificate or can acquire one, has NZ work rights, and brings 5+ years in underground metalliferous mining with supervisory experience. Enjoy onsite health benefits and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• B grade Tunnel Manager's Certificate of Competence or ability to acquire one.
• Controlled Substance Licence for Macraes Underground Mine.
• Full and Current Driver Licence; manual vehicles preferred.
• Unrestricted NZ work rights / current working visa.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underground mining safety and production to plan.
• Coordinate resources with Production Engineer to meet schedules.
• Lead and develop mining personnel to align with company values.
• Ensure incidents are documented and processes followed as per guidelines.
