Job summary

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced Bogger Operators for the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on the South Island. You will operate Sandvik and CAT underground loaders, contribute to safe, productive underground development and production tasks, and support backfill services as part of a growing team.

Ideal candidates have 12 months+ loader experience, a strong safety mindset, and a NZ Class 1 manual licence with DG endorsement (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of Sandvik and CAT underground loaders.
• Conduct regular inspection of the loader and report damages.
• Ensure accurate end of shift reports and other documents.
• Provide clear and effective communication.
• Keep trucks operating at full efficiency; separate ore types.
• Undertake other tasks and labouring duties as required.
• Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately.
• Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules.
• Contribute to a people-first culture and live Winning Values.
• Help teammates and support a strong crew culture.

About the Role

Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced Bogger Operators to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island. Macmahon will be delivering underground development, production and backfill services as part of this exciting project.

We are looking for safety-focused operators with proven underground mining experience operating Sandvik and CAT Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) equipment. Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting safe and productive underground operations while contributing to our growing underground team.

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of the Sandvik and CAT underground loaders.
• Conduct regular inspection of the loader and report any damages.
• Ensure accurate end of shift reports and other relevant documents are completed and submitted
• Provide clear and effective communication.
• Keep the trucks operating at full efficiency ensuring all ore, low grade, marginal and waste are kept separate.
• Prepared to undertake other tasks and labouring duties as required.
• Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately.
• Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules.

What You’ll Bring
