Job summary

Macmahon New Zealand is seeking experienced Underground Grader Operators to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island.

We are looking for safety‑focused operators with proven underground mining experience operating the CAT 12M graders (or equivalent). Successful candidates will play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient haulage routes and work areas, supporting productivity across our growing underground operation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating underground graders in mining environments.
• Safety-focused with ability to speak up.
• Class 1 unrestricted NZ drivers licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of the CAT 12M graders OR equivalent.
• Maintain and build haul roads and access roads in active mining areas.
• Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately.
• Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules.
• Contribute to our people-first culture and live our Winning Values.
• Help teammates, share knowledge and support a strong crew culture.

Role Details

• Location: Snowy River Gold Mine Project – Reefton, New Zealand’s South Island
• Roster: 7:7 - rotating day and night shifts
• Competitive remuneration package
