Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Tunnel Manager to lead safety, maintenance, and incident response for the Northland Corridor Warkworth to Te Hana project. You will report to the Maintenance and Operations Manager and coordinate with the M&E/ITS Tunnel Engineer and delivery teams.

You will drive asset stewardship, ensure compliance, and keep safety at the center of decisions to support long-term performance for Northland road users and regional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with leadership of tunnel or complex M&E/ITS operations.
• Experience delivering RAMS, TAMP/lifecycle planning, Safety File governance.
• Strong safety leadership including incident response (CIMS) and investigations (ICAM).
• Budgeting, forecasting, contract governance and claims management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe, compliant operation and maintenance of the tunnels.
• Lead emergency preparedness and incident response with emergency services and NZTA.
• Plan lifecycle, inspection and testing programs for tunnel assets; connect design, construction, maintenance and operations teams.
• Review designs and construction for budget, risk and constructability.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, contract obligations, extensions of time and claims.
• Develop the M&E/ITS Tunnel Engineer and build a safety-first team culture.
