Job summary

A leading New Zealand transport and food production business is seeking experienced Class 4 and Class 5 Truck Drivers to join its growing operations in the Lower North Island. Multiple permanent opportunities are available for both delivery drivers and stock truck drivers.

Qualifications

• Current Class4 or Class5 driver’s licence (or overseas equivalent transferable to NZ).
• Minimum 12 months of heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Strong commitment to safe driving and workplace health and safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 4 and Class 5 heavy vehicles.
• Transport freight or livestock in accordance with company procedures.
• Load and unload goods where required.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Complete transport documentation, logbooks, and delivery records accurately.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand transport legislation and health and safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
• Follow animal welfare and biosecurity requirements when transporting livestock.
• Work closely with dispatch, customers, farmers, and operational staff.
• Maintain clean and well-presented vehicles and equipment.
• Assist with general yard or operational duties when required.
• Work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, to meet operational needs.
