Job summary

Employer Sponsored Jobs seeks experienced Class 5 Truck Drivers to join a leading civil construction company in the South Island, New Zealand. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled heavy vehicle drivers with construction or related experience who want a long-term career with an Immigration Accredited Employer.

Eligible for New Zealand employer-sponsored work visa (Sponsorship Available). Full visa sponsorship available under AEWV.

Qualifications

• Current Class 5 Heavy Vehicle Licence (or equivalent overseas licence eligible for conversion).
• Previous experienced driving heavy trucks in construction, civil, mining or similar industries.
• Experience operating Road Ranger gearboxes.
• Good understanding of load weights and weight distribution.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices.
• Excellent work ethic with a reliable and flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Transport construction materials safely between project sites.
• Load, unload and secure various construction materials.
• Operate heavy vehicles with Road Ranger gearbox.
• Comply with New Zealand road rules and transport regulations.
• Monitor vehicle load weights and weight distribution.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintain vehicles in clean and roadworthy condition.
• Work closely with site supervisors and transport teams.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Assist with other transport-related tasks as required.
