Job summary

Emmerson Transport Ltd in Whanganui invites applications for a permanent full-time Class 5 truck driver with at least 2 years' experience, including transporting animal by-products. The role involves five to six days a week, working with a team that values safety and customer service.

If you are a Class 5 truck driver, with a minimum of 2 years' class 5 driving experience then we have a permanent full-time role that might interest you.

We are currently looking for experienced class 5 drivers for our wet side of the business servicing the meat industry, located in Whanganui area. Therefore, having experience driving surrounding roads and transporting animal by-products would be advantageous. This role is usually five - six days a week, so flexibility is a must to meet the business requirements.

Ideally, you will have the following:

• A desire to work positively in a team environment
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a truck driver
• The ability and willingness to transport animal by-products.
• Experience driving (truck and trailer)
• Current, valid Class 5 heavy vehicle license
• Hold an OSH Certified Fork Hoist License
• The ability to reverse truck and trailer units competently
• Knowledge of road safety and compliance
• Must have great health and safety awareness and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Excellent customer service
• Experience driving a Road Ranger Gearbox
• To be able to base yourself in Auckland
• A flexible working schedule
• The legal right to work in New Zealand as a permanent employee
• Basic administration and computer skills for using our tablets and electronic logbooks
