Responsibilities

• Drive concrete mixer trucks safely to deliver ready‑mix concrete to sites.
• Check delivery instructions and load details before leaving the plant.
• Operate mixer drum and controls to keep concrete properly mixed en route.
• Plan routes and follow delivery schedules.
• Inspect truck before and after shifts, including tyres, brakes and safety gear.
• Coordinate with site workers and concrete pump operators at sites.
• Unload concrete safely and accurately using discharge controls and chutes.
• Complete delivery records and obtain customer signatures.
• Report delays, issues, and vehicle defects promptly.
• Refuel, clean and maintain the truck; communicate professionally with staff.

Job description

We are looking for aTruck Drivers to join our team based in Auckland. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of ready-mix concrete to construction sites.

Position: Truck Driver Hourly Rate: $30–$35 Minimum Weekly Hours: 30 Location: Auckland

Duties:

• Drive concrete mixer trucks safely to deliver ready-mix concrete from batching plants to construction sites.
• Check delivery instructions and load details before leaving the batching plant.
• Operate the mixer drum and controls to keep concrete properly mixed during transport.
• Plan delivery routes and follow delivery schedules.
• Inspect the truck before and after each shift, including tyres, brakes, lights, mixer drum and safety equipment.
• Position the truck safely at construction sites and coordinate with site workers and concrete pump operators.
• Operate discharge controls and chutes to unload concrete safely and accurately.
• Monitor the concrete load and follow authorised instructions when adding water or admixtures.
• Complete delivery records, obtain customer signatures and report delays or delivery issues.
• Clean the mixer drum, truck, and dispose of concrete residue and wash water in designated areas.
• Report vehicle defects, equipment faults and maintenance requirements promptly.
• Refuel the truck and maintain its cleanliness.
• Communicate professionally with batching plant staff, site personnel and customers.
• Follow traffic laws, workplace health and safety procedures, site requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

• Class 4 driver licence or equivalent
