Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking an experienced Class 4 Concrete Truck Driver for a busy civil project in Waihi. This role combines driving with hands-on site labouring, requiring fitness and a proactive, safety-minded approach.

The successful candidate will drive a Class 4 truck, deliver wet concrete, and work closely with the site crew, following all health and safety procedures. Immediate start on a temporary project-based assignment in Waihi.

Class 4 Concrete Truck Driver - Waihi | $35 per hour | Temporary Project-Based Role | Immediate Start

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Class 4 Concrete Truck Driver to join a busy civil project based in Waihi.

This is not just a driving role. You will be part of the wider site crew and there is a significant hands-on labouring component to the position. We need someone who is fit, strong, happy to get out of the truck, and willing to muck in wherever required.

The Role

You will be responsible for driving a Class 4 concrete truck, transporting and delivering wet concrete safely and efficiently around the project.

Your day will include:

• Driving a Class 4 concrete truck
• Transporting and delivering wet concrete
• Working safely with wet and moving loads
• Completing vehicle pre-start checks
• Working around heavy machinery and active civil works
• Assisting with concrete-related activities on site
• General civil labouring and physical site work
• Helping the wider crew wherever required
• Following all site health and safety procedures

What We Need

For this role, concrete truck driving experience is essential. We are specifically looking for someone who understands the challenges of transporting wet concrete and has previous experience delivering concrete to site.

• A current Full NZ Class 4 Driver Licence
• Previous concrete truck driving experience
• Experience transporting wet loads
• Experience delivering concrete to construction or civil sites
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and load management
• A good level of physical fitness and strength
• Willingness to complete hands-on labouring duties throughout the day
• Reliable transport and a strong work ethic
• A positive attitude towards health and safety
• Ability to work well as part of a site crew

Please note, if you are looking for a driving-only position, this will not be the right role. The successful person needs to be equally comfortable behind the wheel and getting stuck into physical work on site.
