Essential Health Pharmacy - Bergrivier is seeking a Trainee Supervisor to enhance the shopper experience and act as a liaison between management and customers, assisting the Retail Manager with day-to-day store operations. The role requires strong numeracy, computer literacy, and the ability to motivate staff, allocate responsibilities, and maintain stock levels while delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Math 50% and Math Literacy 60%
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role with relevant work experience
• Sound numerical skills
• Computer literate - MS Office
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day running of the store to ensure smooth operations
• Help manage queue flow at till points and support cashiers when needed
• Monitor basic cash handling processes, including checking floats and reporting any shorts or overs
• Support stock control by helping with receiving, returns, and regular stock checks
• Maintain neat and attractive product displays and ensure shelves are well stocked
• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and refer complaints to the manager when necessary
• Guide and motivate team members during shifts to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
• Assist with basic staff training and help create a positive, team-focused work environment

The main purpose of this role is to enhance shopper experience and to function as the liaison between management and customers. Minimum Requirement - Essential:

• Grade 12 | Matric with Math 50% | Math Lit 60% | Languages 50%
• Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role with the relevant work experience
