Job summary

Alliance Group Limited in New Zealand is seeking a Trainee Livestock Representative to join our Eastern Livestock team, covering Central and South Otago, East Otago and Northern Eastern Southland. You'll work with experienced Livestock Representatives to learn procurement, trading and supplier relationship management.

This highly autonomous role involves time on farms, building relationships, identifying opportunities and supporting growth of Alliance's livestock business.

Qualifications

• Proactive and able to learn from mentors.
• Autonomous with strong organisation and time management.
• Willingness to travel across the region and meet farmers.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supporting livestock procurement and supplier relationship activities across the region
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers and shareholders
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities
• Assisting with livestock scheduling and supply planning
• Supporting store stock trading opportunities
• Representing Alliance at industry events, field days, and supplier meetings
• Contributing to forecasts, reporting, and business planning activities
