Job summary

Higgins in Wellington is hiring a permanent Traffic Management Operative to join the Traffic Management Crew. You will coordinate and control traffic to keep flows moving safely on site.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, a supportive team environment, and brand new PPE. The role provides opportunities to progress to STMS and access subsidised education and training for you and your family.

Qualifications

• Current TC Qualification (Level 1 minimum).
• Full New Zealand Driver’s Licence Class 2.
• Safety-first attitude towards yourself, your team and the public.
• Good communication and reliability.
• High physical fitness and teamwork.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and control traffic to keep it flowing safely.
• Set up barriers, signs and cones to create safe workspaces.
• Monitor site conditions and communicate with crew.
• Follow Higgins safety policies and procedures.

The Green Team at our branch in Wellington is looking for a permanent full-time Traffic Management Operative (formally Traffic Controller) to join the Traffic Management Crew.

Your role will be to coordinate and control traffic, keep traffic flowing safely by watching, setting up barriers, signs and cone to provide safe workspaces for your colleagues.
