Job summary

The Warehouse Balclutha is seeking a Trading Manager to lead store operations, merchandising and customer experience on the shop floor.

You will recruit, coach and motivate the team, maintain pricing integrity, stock availability and visual presentation, and report to the Store Manager to deliver the Trading Plan. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership and a passion for delivering excellent shopping experiences for our customers.

As Trading Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing everything Shop-floor related. Reporting to the Store Manager you will ensure merchandising and trading standards are maintained, the Manager's Trading Plan is delivered, and pricing integrity and availability meet expectations.

When customers walk through our doors, they should be able to locate what they want with ease and walk out satisfied and as Balclutha is one of our smaller stores, this role also incorporates the availability function meaning you will oversee thepresentation, merchandising, restocking and recovery at a time when it has the least impact on customers.There are tight timeframes to ensure our stores are well stocked and look their best and this takes quality leadership.The look and feel of our store for a great customer experience comes down to you and your team!

Here’s the days and hours:

• Tuesday - 8:30am - 6pm
• Wednesday to Saturday - 10:45am - 8:15pm

Ultimately, we are seeking a motivated and experienced individual with proven leadership capabilities and a proactive, "can-do" attitude. Excellent communication skills are essential while prior experience in a retail environment, particularly in areas such as stock management, merchandising, recovery, and visual presentation, would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will be someone who is hands-on and enjoys actively contributing to the team's success.
