The Warehouse Balclutha in Otago is seeking a Trading Manager to lead the store floor, maintain merchandising and trading standards, and ensure the Trading Plan is delivered with pricing integrity and availability.

As Balclutha is a smaller store, the role also covers presentation, stock, recovery and scheduling, with a hands-on leadership style that motivates the team and delivers a great customer experience.

As Trading Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing everything Shop-floor related. Reporting to the Store Manager you will ensure merchandising and trading standards are maintained, the Manager's Trading Plan is delivered, and pricing integrity and availability meet expectations.

When customers walk through our doors, they should be able to locate what they want with ease and walk out satisfied and as Balclutha is one of our smaller stores, this role also incorporates the availability function meaning you will oversee thepresentation, merchandising, restocking and recovery at a time when it has the least impact on customers. There are tight timeframes to ensure our stores are well stocked and look their best and this takes quality leadership. The look and feel of our store for a great customer experience comes down to you and your team!

Here's the days and hours:

• Tuesday - 8:30am - 6pm
• Wednesday to Saturday - 10:45am - 8:15pm

Ultimately, we are seeking a motivated and experienced individual with proven leadership capabilities and a proactive, "can-do" attitude. Excellent communication skills are essential while prior experience in a retail environment, particularly in areas such as stock management, merchandising, recovery, and visual presentation, would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will be someone who is hands-on and enjoys actively contributing to the team's success.
