Job summary

The Warehouse Albany in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking a Trading Manager to lead our store floor and stockroom, ensuring the shop presents outstanding value for the local community and runs smoothly with the store leadership team.

You will drive the trading plan, manage promotions, stock rotation, and pricing integrity while coaching a bright team, upholding health and safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven big-box retail management experience or strong leadership experience in another industry
• Knowledge of promotional execution, planograms, space allocation and visual merchandising standards is advantageous
• Experience adhering to audit standards and health and safety standards

Job description

As the Trading Manager, you’ll play a key role in our customers in store experience.

You’ll lead everything shopfloor and stockroom related ensuring our store is well-presented, and ready to serve the needs of our local community.

Working as part of the store leadership team and reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll:

• Deliver the trading plan, ensuring seasonal stock and key promotions are being rotated to the front of store and displayed correctly
• Follow planograms and keep merchandising standards high
• Ensure excellent merchandising, availability and pricing integrity standards
• Recruit, coach and develop your team
• Be the example when it comes to health and safety and audit standards
• Keep the stockroom organized and stock rotated and stored in appropriate locations to setup the night fill team for success.

From seasonal promotions to everyday essentials, you will be key in ensuring customers can find great value throughout Warehouse Country.

Note for this position you must have valid right to work in New Zealand at the time of applying.

Hours of work:

• Sunday - 7am - 4:30pm
• Monday - 12pm - 9:30pm
• Tuesday - 8am - 5:30pm
• Thursday - 5:30am - 3pm

Qualifications

We’re looking for an ambitious and capable leader who can confidently interpret and execute plans, communicate effectively and motivate others.

You’ll bring:

• Proven big-box retail management experience or strong leadership experience in another industry
• Knowledge of promotional execution, planograms, space allocation and visual merchandising standards is advantageous
• An understanding of traffic management plans
• Previous experience adhering to audit standards and health and safety standards
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• The ability to lead through change and deliver results
• A passion for customer service and team development
