Job summary

TLH Recruitment in Rotorua is seeking a reliable Trade Assistant to support a heavy diesel machinery refurbishment project. You will assist with strip-downs, repairs, rebuilds, and reassembly, and help with hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical repair work as well as tools, materials, and quality checks.

The role is full-time, on-site in Rotorua, with a pay rate of $35 per hour and a temp-to-perm pathway. Applicants should be practical, physically fit and safety-conscious, with team-oriented

Qualifications

• Previous heavy diesel mechanical & workshop experience preferred.
• Good practical skills and a willingness to get stuck in.
• Reliable and safety-focused.
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with heavy diesel machinery strip-downs, undercarriage removal, repairs, rebuilds, and reassembly.
• Support hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical repair work.
