Job summary
Alignz Recruitment in Hamilton, North Island, is seeking a Pre-Delivery Trade Assistant to join a leading construction equipment company. You will assist with mechanical repairs and perform pre-delivery inspections, preparing machinery for delivery and supporting the workshop team.
Ideal backgrounds include Mechanical Trade Assistant, Diesel Apprentice, Automotive Mechanic, Agricultural Machinery Assistant, Workshop Assistant or Engineering/Manufacturing background.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude or workshop experience required.
- Experience with servicing, repairs, automotive, trucks, agriculture, or machinery.
- Confident with hand tools and eager to learn new skills.
- Reliable and organised, able to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist with mechanical repairs and workshop tasks
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment
- Prepare machinery before customer delivery
- Assist technicians with servicing and repairs
- Complete basic fault finding and adjustments

- Full Class 1 Driver Licence required
- WTR endorsement advantageous but not essential
