Shifts run day-time hours, with 35 hours per week, weekend availability, and overtime paid at the stated rate. A NZ driver's licence with appropriate class is required; a D endorsement is preferred or obtainable.

Parabhjot Holding Ltd. is looking for two delivery drivers (ANZSCO: ) for Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand: New Zealand citizens, residents/permanent residents, or on an open work visa, who have a driving license equivalent to Class 1 or more, having one year's work experience as a delivery driver can apply only.

A one year relevant work experience is required.

Pay: $26-$30 per hour and 30-35 hours per week as required between 6 am to 12 pm and 1:30 pm- 3:30 pm subject to change as per requirements, with weekend availability.

Overtime is paid at $26-$30 per hour; wages will be paid fortnightly in the nominated bank account.

Duties

• Determining the destinations of goods and most appropriate delivery routes:
• maneuvering vehicles into position for loading and unloading;
• pick up of parcels. posts and deliver parcels and posts, deliveries etc.
• assisting with loading to ensure goods are arranged for ease of delivery and safely secured to avoid damage;
• verifying loading documents;
• arranging and performing unloading operations and obtaining certification of deliveries;
• reporting vehicle maintenance needs;
• may receive payments for deliveries and arrange accounts.
• Report any accident to the management
• Comply with health and safety and follow traffic rules.

Zyada Ltd is seeking a reliable, responsible and customer-focused Courier / Delivery Driver to join our Dunedin operation.

Employment: Full-time, permanent

Guaranteed hours: 35 hours per week (70 hours per fortnight)

Pay rate: NZ$27.50 per hour

About the role

The successful applicant will operate a company delivery van to collect and deliver parcels, mail and other goods to residential and commercial customers throughout Dunedin and surrounding areas.

The role involves regular outdoor work and physical handling of parcels and goods. The successful applicant must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including rain, cold, wind and warm or hot weather.

The driver may also be required to transport dangerous goods where applicable and must comply with all relevant New Zealand requirements.

During busy periods, including the Christmas and holiday season, additional hours or overtime may be available or required according to business needs and the terms of the employment agreement. Overtime will be paid in accordance with the agreed employment terms and New Zealand employment requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Collect parcels, mail and other goods from designated collection points.
• Load, secure and transport parcels and goods safely in the company delivery van.
• Regularly lift, carry and move parcels and goods weighing up to approximately 25–30 kg safely.
• Deliver parcels, mail and other goods to residential and commercial customers.
• Deliver mail when required as part of the company's delivery services.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes.
• Obtain delivery confirmations or signatures where required.
• Handle parcels, mail and goods carefully to prevent damage or loss.
• Transport dangerous goods when required and comply with applicable New Zealand requirements.
• Maintain accurate delivery records using electronic or paper-based systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch/operations staff.
• Report failed deliveries, damaged parcels, delays and other delivery issues.
• Carry out basic daily vehicle safety checks.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean, safe and properly maintained.
• Follow New Zealand road rules and health and safety requirements.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, cold, wind and warm or hot weather.
• Work additional hours when reasonably required during busy periods, subject to the employment agreement.
• Perform other reasonable courier, mail and delivery duties associated with the position.

Applicants must have

• A full and valid New Zealand driver's licence appropriate for the delivery van.
• Willing and able to obtain a Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement if required for the duties.
• A safe and responsible driving record.
• Ability to safely lift, carry and move parcels and goods weighing up to approximately 25–30 kg.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain and warm or hot weather.
• Ability to use a smartphone and electronic delivery systems.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to follow delivery instructions and company procedures.
• Ability to comply with New Zealand requirements when transporting dangerous goods, where applicable.qq

A current D endorsement is preferred, but applicants who do not currently hold one must be willing and able to obtain the required D endorsement before undertaking duties that require it under New Zealand law.

The successful applicant must be willing to undertake reasonable training required for the position.

The successful applicant should also be willing to obtain an appropriate motorcycle/bike licence or endorsement in the future if Zyada Ltd's delivery operations require motorcycle delivery, subject to applicable New Zealand licensing requirements.

Previous courier, delivery, mail or similar driving experience is preferred but not eessential
