Job summary

A & NK Group Limited – Wellington, is seeking three reliable Courier drivers to join our delivery team, responsible for safe and timely delivery of parcels and documents across Wellington Region.

This full-time, permanent role offers a minimum of 32 guaranteed hours per week with potential overtime, and training provided. You will sort, load, and deliver items, maintain delivery records, and ensure vehicle safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 driving license.
• Training provided; prior courier experience not required.
• Able to lift and carry parcels up to 25 kg repeatedly.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Able to work early starts and rostered weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Sort and sequence items for delivery and load the vehicle.
• Deliver parcels, documents, mail and other items to customers.
• Record deliveries and collect signatures where applicable.
• Maintain accurate delivery records with scanners/app.
• Plan daily runs to meet delivery windows and traffic conditions.
• Manage undeliverable items and arrange redelivery.

We are seeking 3 reliable and customer-focused Courier drivers to join our delivery team and take responsibility for the safe and timely delivery of parcels and documents across our runs. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a minimum of 32 guaranteed hours per week, with the opportunity for additional overtime.

Job Description:

As a Courier driver , you will be responsible for the collection, sorting and delivery of parcels, documents and other small consignments to customers across Wellington Region, and for maintaining accurate delivery records and the security and condition of goods while in your care. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Sorting and sequencing items for delivery and loading the vehicle in run order
• Delivering parcels, documents, mail and other items to customers' premises, mailboxes and nominated delivery points
• Receiving orders for deliveries and pick-ups from customers and from the despatch team
• Collecting signatures and, where applicable, charges for cash-on-delivery consignments
• Issuing and collecting receipts for items picked up and deliveredKeeping accurate records of items received and delivered, including scanning consignments at each point using the handheld scanner or delivery application
• Planning and adjusting the daily run to meet delivery windows, allowing for traffic, weather and customer availability
• Managing undeliverable items, arranging redelivery and returning items to the depot
• Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting defects and keeping the vehicle clean, secure and roadworthy
• Complying with all applicable land transport, health and safety, and food or dangerous goods handling requirements

Requirements of the position offered:

• Able to drive a Class 1 van & hold a valid driving license or equivalent
• Training will be provided, so prior qualification or experience is not required but would be an advantage.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels of up to 25 kg repeatedly throughout the day
• Good communication skills, a customer-focused manner, and the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet delivery deadlines, including early starts and rostered weekend work.
