Job summary

CHH Woodproducts is seeking a detail-oriented Primary Planner for our Kawerau Sawmill. You will plan and coordinate timber resources to meet operational and commercial objectives, reporting to the Timber Planning Manager.

This is a Monday to Friday, 40-hour week role, requiring collaboration across production, planning, inventory and safety teams to ensure smooth, cost-efficient operations. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Planning experience, preferably in timber production.
• SAP or Business Central experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate-advanced).
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Timber Planning Manager to develop and execute the Master Production Schedule.
• Develop and monitor daily and weekly plans for the Drymills and Production Orders.
• Support inventory management for stock rotation and working capital.
• Manage supply chain and sales relationships with the National Supply Chain team.
• Monitor reporting metrics and identify trends.
• Produce compliance reports and identify potential site issues.
• Respond to and escalate production variations as needed.
• Participate in weekly and monthly production meetings.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in fibre usage and cost efficiency.
• Ensure all operations comply with site health and safety standards.
