Job summary

Persol is recruiting for a Production Planner & Scheduler in the Bay of Plenty, NZ. You will work closely with Production Managers, Workshop Foremen, Sales teams and Suppliers to coordinate workflow, balance machine capacity and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

The role involves planning across machining operations, coordinating material requirements, and maintaining ERP planning information while monitoring progress and adjusting schedules as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with production planning or scheduling.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and machine capacity planning.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing systems.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and changing production demands.
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule work across multiple machining operations.
  • Balance production capacity against customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate material requirements and supplier deliveries.
  • Maintain and update ERP planning information.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as required.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and workflow constraints.
  • Communicate priorities, lead times and schedule updates across the business.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
