Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Tiler to join a large Waikato construction project. The role involves preparing surfaces, setting out and laying tiles, applying adhesives and sealants, and finishing to a high standard on commercial and/or residential sites.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years tiling experience or a qualified tiler, with strong tile setting skills, attention to detail, and a reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• Qualified Tiler preferred, or a minimum of 3+ years' proven tiling experience.
• Strong tile setting and finishing skills.
• Experience across commercial and/or residential projects.
• Confident working independently.
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Good understanding of site Health & Safety.
• Own basic tiling tools preferred.
• Reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces ready for tiling.
• Measure, set out and cut tiles.
• Lay floor and wall tiles.
• Apply adhesives, grout and sealants.
• Complete finishing work to a high standard.
• Read plans, measurements and specifications.
• Maintain accurate lines, levels and finishes.

Tiler / Tile Setter Experienced Tiler Wanted – Long-Term Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Tiler / Tile Setter to join a large ongoing construction project in the Waikato.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled tiler looking for consistent hours and ongoing work on a major project. Ideally, you’ll be a qualified tiler, however candidates with 3+ years of solid commercial or residential tiling experience will also be considered.

About the Role

• Preparing surfaces ready for tiling
• Measuring, setting out and cutting tiles
• Laying floor and wall tiles
• Applying adhesives, grout and sealants
• Completing finishing work to a high standard
• Reading plans, measurements and specifications
• Maintaining accurate lines, levels and finishes
• Working safely alongside other trades on site
