Job summary

PDP is a respected environmental and engineering consultancy with a nationwide presence, and we are seeking an Intermediate Water Engineer with experience in water, wastewater and stormwater to work across a wide range of projects in Aotearoa. You will undertake investigation and design, prepare calculations, drawings and reports, and contribute to safety by design and risk management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil, Environmental or Natural Resources Engineering.
• 3-4 years’ experience in three-waters engineering investigation, design and construction monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Investigation and design of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
• Preparation of design calculations, drawings and reports.
• Understanding of Safety by Design and Risk Management.
• Construction monitoring.
• Work with clients from local authorities to private companies.
• Project management.
• Support PDP profile-raising activities including conference presentations and publications.
• Checking design calculations done by junior engineers.
