Job summary

Awa Environmental is seeking an Intermediate Three Waters Engineer to contribute to stormwater-focused design for residential and industrial developments in Wellington, Auckland and across New Zealand. You’ll join a team of water specialists, environmental engineers, hydraulic modellers and scientists.

You will lead or contribute to projects from land development to three waters infrastructure, with opportunities for career development and CPEng support in a values-driven firm.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in intermediate engineer role.
• Experience in AutoCAD / Civil 3D design.
• Proficiency with HY-8, HEC-HMS, SSA and EPANET.

Responsibilities

• Civil engineering design (stormwater, wastewater, water supply) for land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare technical engineering reports and calculations.
• Perform hydraulic modelling to support designs.
• Project management to ensure scope, budget and schedule.
• Client management with regular updates and site visits.
