Job summary

You will assist with positioning, mobility, and basic therapeutic activities under supervision, observe client responses, and report any concerns to the therapist. Strong hygiene and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting therapists preferred.
• Ability to follow structured therapy plans accurately.
• Good communication and hygiene standards required.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with delivery of therapy programmes and basic therapeutic treatments according to the therapist’s instructions.
• Provide direct assistance and support to clients before, during and after therapy sessions.
• Assist clients with positioning, movement and mobility as required during therapeutic treatments and exercises.
• Prepare treatment areas, therapy equipment, towels, linens and other materials required for therapy sessions.
• Assist the therapist with basic therapeutic and rehabilitation activities within the aide’s training and delegated responsibilities.
• Follow individual therapy plans and instructions established by the supervising therapist.
• Observe clients’ responses during and following therapy and promptly report changes, discomfort, concerns or other relevant observations to the supervising therapist.
