Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand in Auckland is seeking a reliable Therapy Aide to support therapists with daily operations, client preparation and treatment room organisation, ensuring comfortable, professional services.

You will assist during sessions, help with positioning and mobility, prepare equipment and linens, follow therapy plans, observe client responses and report changes promptly. Maintaining infection-control practices and accurate treatment records are essential responsibilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist therapists with the delivery of planned therapy programmes and basic therapeutic treatments according to the therapist’s instructions.
• Provide direct assistance and support to clients before, during and after therapy sessions.
• Assist clients with positioning, movement and mobility as required during therapeutic treatments and exercises.
• Prepare treatment areas, therapy equipment, towels, linens and other materials required for therapy sessions.
• Assist the therapist with basic therapeutic and rehabilitation activities within the aide’s training and delegated responsibilities.
• Follow individual therapy plans and instructions established by the supervising therapist.
• Observe clients’ responses during and following therapy and promptly report changes, discomfort, concerns or other relevant observations to the supervising therapist.
• Maintain appropriate client treatment records and document relevant information as directed by the therapist.
• Clean, sanitise and prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas in accordance with infection-control and workplace health-and-safety procedures.
• Provide direct practical assistance to therapists to support the safe and effective delivery of therapy services.
