Job summary

Planit in Wellington is seeking a Quality Engineer Lead to apply high-level testing across mobile apps, API, database and UI. You will steer testing efforts, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients to shape requirements and acceptance criteria.

This is a Wellington based role and Wellington market experience preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Identify test conditions/ test objectives and derive test cases using advanced test techniques
• Identify and apply tools to assist with the acceleration of quality
• Create comprehensive test assets in the appropriate tools relevant to test conditions
• Utilise appropriate tools to execute test cases and report results
• Raise, track and close defects
• Be a good communicator, able to collaborate with client teams, people to define test cases and acceptance criteria
• Enjoy change and new challenges. This is a Consulting role
• Be passionate about quality practices within IT delivery

Nice to have

• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. Jira, ADO)
• Motivated to explore and maximise use of AI in testing
• Local experience and wide variety of domain knowledge preferred
